Buchart Horn (BH) provides architectural and engineering planning and design services to local, county, state, and federal government, institution, and private sector clients.
How does your business separate itself from your competition?
BH has been in business for over 75 years and has held several clients over 50 continuous years. Hiring and training qualified professionals in design, Project Management and Client Management is crucial to our long-term viability and project success.
How do you see your business growing in the future?
The AE industry has been experiencing labor challenges over the past several years, hindering organic revenue growth. BH has made strategic acquisitions of architecture and engineering firms and is always looking for mutually beneficial acquisitions in our current geographic and market service areas. We look to expand into new geographic areas with our current service offerings.
Strategic hiring of experienced professionals, hiring of recent college graduates, and an active internship program continue to bring labor resources to build our bench to support ongoing projects and future growth initiatives.
How does your business get involved in the community?
Buchart Horn is a responsible community corporation, providing funding, volunteers, and professional services to many communities around the various BH offices. From Chamber and Economic Alliance memberships and sponsorships to volunteering of staff on local boards and committees, BH supports community support and values the relationship we have with our community partners.
How long has your business been a member of the Chamber?
Buchart Horn has been a member of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, and Jamie Keener, BH Director of Market Development, has been involved with the WSCC since 2012, serving as Chairman of the Board in 2016/17, and on the Board and various committees over the past 12 years.
How has Chamber membership been beneficial to your business?
BH benefits from Chamber membership through RELATIONSHIPS. As many BH clients include local elected or volunteer boards, the relationships BH develops with local business people provide opportunities for lead identification, project referrals, and professional teaming identification. These relationships have been developed over time and are a significant source of BH opportunities.
